Six steps, from field to cabinet

What that means in practice

  • A unit stands on about 1.5 m² and can be stacked from one to ten layers (MIT Solve, 2023).
  • Nine sensors trigger watering and nutrient dosing automatically.
  • Akar installs the unit, supplies seedlings and nutrition, and maintains it under a monthly fee. See Farming-as-a-Service.
