Malls sit at the centre of Indonesian city life, the kind of "strategic centre of consumption" Akar targets. A larger installation turns food production into something visitors can see.
What we know from Akar’s pilots
In May 2023 Akar wrote that it could "hyper-scale our product inside one of Jakarta mall" and named this as a project planned for Q4 2023 (MIT Solve). Whether that project went ahead is not confirmed in the recovered sources.
